$2 Billion Queensland Renewable Energy and Hydrogen Jobs Fund.

This fund will support Queensland’s public-owned power generators to increase investment in renewable energy and create green manufacturing jobs.

This responds directly to our budget priority for $2 Billion investment in renewable generation and storage, which is the missing piece in making Queensland a renewable energy superpower. And our ask for progress on secure manufacturing jobs built off clean renewable energy.

Deputy Premier Steven Miles told us he would be our champion on this issue and today he and the Government delivered.

This has all built on great campaigning from member organisations such as the Electrical Trades Union, Australian Conservation Foundation, Australian Youth Climate Coalition, Queensland Conservation Council and Solar Citizens.

We've added to that by building deep support with briefings and education sessions with leaders inside faith organizations, unions, community organizations and ethnic associations.
