Process

Phase One: Building Relationships

Affiliate leaders build relationships with local tribes and Native-led organizations.

Phase Two: Wrestling With the Truth of Colonization Training

Each affiliate hosts a ten-hour Wrestling With the Truth of Colonization training moving a critical mass of their non-Indigenous members, and their civil society institutions, through our transformative experience and into lasting partnerships prepared to be in respectful relationships.

Phase Three: Action

Long-term organizational connections, developed at the speed of trust, which tie Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations in life-long commitments to an equitable future. Resources are provided to organize the un-organized within Indigenous communities. Collaborative action is taken on issues of priority to local Indigenous communities leading to local victories reducing disparities. This encompasses transforming the structures and practices of the affiliates as needed to put Indigenous and other people of color at the center of the organization and its culture.
